Back by popular demand, this will be Troop 193’s ninth consecutive year of going to Cascade Mountain in Portage, Wisconsin for our February outing. We had a great time last year with the 28 trails including 3 terrain parks & 1 half pipe & look forward to this year; beginners and experts welcome. Congratulations to Erin B., Troop 193's newest Eagle Scout. His Court of Honor was held today to celebrate this great achievement. Erin’s service project was creating 5 Activity Boards used for dementia patients at Friendship Village in Schaumburg, for aiding and helping retain their muscle memory. These boards have 9 basic motor skill activities needed for patients with dementia. Erin created this project in memory & honor of his grandmother. Job well done! |

Ahoy, All Scouts! It's time to man your battle stations and come aboard the USS Cobia. Come and see what it was like to live aboard a World War II submarine. Troop 193 will be going to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc, WI on November 12 -13, 2011 and we will tour and stay on the USS Cobia Submarine. See permission slip and waiver. Congratulations to Ryan F. on recently being elected Senior Patrol Leader (SPL)! Senior Patrol Leader is the highest leadership position that a scout can attain, reporting to the Scoutmaster. We look forward to Ryan leading the troop for at least the next 6 months. Runner up Daniel G. is Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL) & Ryan selected Tyler W. as the troop's second ASPL. We also extend our most sincere thanks to our outgoing SPL Tommy C. for the top notch job, along with the fine service & leadership that he brought to the troop during his past 8 month reign. |

Troop 193 will be going camping October 14-16, 2011. The theme for the Outing is “We’re just going camping, maybe work on some advancement, maybe play some games, build a campfire, practice wood carving, etc.”
Permission slips and money are due to Mr. Wilkins by October 4. Please make checks payable to “Troop 193”.
We will be leaving from Collins School promptly at 5:30 pm, so plan on arriving at the school by 5:00. The boys will be dropped off at their homes before noon on Sunday.

Troop 193 will camping at Warren Dunes State Park in Southwestern Michigan on Aug 12-14, 2011. The park has three miles of terrific Lake Michigan shoreline, six miles of trails and numerous sand dunes to climb and explore, including the most impressive dune, Tower Hill which stands over 200 feet above the lake, providing a spectacular view.
